What are high performance homes you ask?
This means your home is Energy Efficient and has the following characteristics:
Structurally Sound–We build with one of the strongest building materials available; structural insulated panels manufactured right here in Minnesota. Unlike 2×4 walls with batt insulation, SIP walls are square and straight every time.
Tightly Sealed–SIP’s have a foam core creating a highly insulated and tight building envelope. Controlling the amount of air that goes in and out of your home increases the home’s efficiency.
Improved Quality of Life–Our homes are designed with eco-friendly materials & practices reducing both indoor allergens and energy consumption. SIP homes save owners an average of 50%-60% on heating and cooling costs.
We’re not just building you a high performance home, we’re creating a mindful lifestyle.

What are structural insulated panels?
Structural Insulated Panels, i.e. SIPs consist of EPS (extruded Polystyrene) sandwiched between two pieces of oriented strand board. SIPs are pre-manufactured in MN and can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

Can I save money with SIPs?
Yes! The superior building tightness capable with SIPs allow HVAC equipment to be downsized or even completely eliminated. In-floor heat and mini-splits are wonderful alternatives to a typical forced air furnace. Homeowners will also benefit from reduced energy consumption and labor costs, because the time it takes to build can be significantly shortened.

How green are SIPs?
Exceptionally! Structural insulated panels are one of the most environmentally responsible building systems available today! SIP homes create little to no waste on the jobsite and have the capability of being net-zero. Builders and homeowners alike can contribute to a better environment for future generations to enjoy!
